Apple has taken the wraps off of its next-generation operating system updates at its Worldwide Developers Conference today, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 Golden Gate. And while the long-awaited Siri AI update is the headliner, Apple also emphasized its efforts to optimize its software, improving its performance and reliability.

OS 27 will be unveiled today, with the key new feature expected to be a revamped Siri. The assistant is set to become more personalized and gain on-screen awareness, and a dedicated Siri app will provide ChatGPT-like functionality.

iOS 27 is available in beta for developers starting today. A public beta release will follow in July. The iPhone software update will be available for everyone this fall.
