When your arms go overhead, your core needs to engage first to stabilize. These are your deep core muscles. There is a correlation with shoulder muscles firing first then core (if much at all). So we work to create new nuero pathways and train muscle firing order. THE TIP➡️As arms go overhead, keep your ribs down. They will want to flare up but keep them down and feel the shift! Bonus is the block between the thighs to engage the adductors and further train the muscles of the deep core to fire.
